Royal and Select Masons are “Cryptic” Masons. Ohio is divided into nine “Arches” and Adoniram Council is in the Third, which encompasses Montgomery, Warren, Butler, Preble, Greene, Highland, Clinton, Clark, Clermont, and Hamilton Counties. There are three Council degrees: the Royal Master, Select Master, and Super Excellent Master. In order to petition for membership, a candidate must be a member in good standing of a Blue Lodge and a Chapter.
