The Miamisburg Temple Association was formed after the brethren of Minerva Lodge voted to look for better accomodations for the growing membership. The first president was prominent banker and Mason, Newton J. Catrow, pictured at left.
Originally they were going to build a new building, but the Second Street Methodist Church property became available and they made an offer. In return, the brethren allowed the church to meet on the first floor until their new home was built.
The cornerstone for the facade was laid in September 1902 and the entire Temple was dedicated by the Grand Lodge officers in April 1903.
